| Name: | Fudou Yuusei |
|---|
This Yuusei is the result of this lovely mess.
And then what comes after (because I'm changing it IT'S BEEN FOUR YEARS OKAY I WANT SOMETHING NEW(ISH)):
With Yuusei's spirit thoroughly broken, Kiryu started giving him new nightmares and began rewriting Yuusei's memories, and then added some legit brainwashing in for good measure to make it stick. In these new memories, Jack and Crow pretty much bullied and tormented Yuusei his whole life, up until the formation of Team Satisfaction, when Kiryu was able to keep them in check. Kiryu was supposedly Yuusei's only real friend ever, and even after he was arrested, he was the only one Yuusei was able to fully trust (Rally-tachi were great and all, but they weren't quite Kiryu). Yuusei never left Kiryu's side, but Kiryu was still arrested (and Yuusei was almost dragged along with him), which was devastating, obviously.
And then, of course, Jack had to be an ass and Crow was doing his own thing and they heard that Kiryu died in jail, pretty much like canon, so the next couple of years weren't all that different, except that Yuusei was considerably more distant from just about everyone. And pretty much up until Yuusei vs. Kiryu Take Number 1 is pretty much the same, other than...Yuusei being considerably more distant and less trusting of people and quite a bit more pissed off at Jack.
And then the duel happened, and surprise, Kiryu wasn't gone after all! But he was still pissed off at Yuusei and he made it very clear that he was pissed and going to make Yuusei pay for what he did. Yuusei, of course, wanted to know what he could do to make it up to him...and Kiryu was quite happy to tell him. After nearly killing him in their duel. He needed to get that much out of his system.
Cut back to reality. Yuusei had been recovering from his duel and the subsequent nightmares in Neo Domino with Jack and Crow, and for a while, it seemed like he might actually recover. And then one night, he disappeared. Now half-brainwashed and rewritten, Yuusei left to go find Kiryu in Satellite and join up with him. Jack and Crow had no idea what happened to him until the final showdown with the Dark Signers and they found themselves facing Kiryu and Yuusei in a tag team duel. By then, Kiryu had his claws in deep, enough that Yuusei was able to channel the power of Ccapac Apu too, and even though Jack and Crow tried to make him see reason, it was too late. Together, Kiryu and Yuusei were nearly unstoppable and they claimed the first two victories for the Dark Signers.

Yuusei doesn't speak much--partially out of habit, partially because he's kind of brainwashed, and partially because his vocal cords were damaged enough by all the screaming that it hurts--and when he does speak, it's in a whisper. He's also extremely cautious around new people and reticent about making new friends, or even really being friendly with anyone but Kiryu. He pretty much hates Jack and Crow and will try to avoid them on first instinct, although either of them trying to force more interaction than that might have a fight on their hands.
As for Kiryu--Yuusei will do anything Kiryu asks of him, like a good little brainwashed puppet. Mostly this means Yuusei is now Kiryu's personal assassin, hooray. He hasn't lost himself completely, so if Kiryu ever asks him to do something he really doesn't want to, he might argue first, but if Kiryu doesn't change his mind, he'll do it eventually, and his protests are generally pretty weak. He has some respect for the other Dark Signers and will generally do what they ask of him too, but he isn't under any obligation to actually listen to any of them. Just Kiryu.
He can tap into Ccapac Apu's power, enough to summon his card and be possessed by him, but he isn't a Dark Signer and it's extremely taxing to do so. But this means his Signer mark doesn't go off unless he wants it too, like the Dark Signers are able to to.
And yes, his Jack and Crow are essentially dead, and he'd be thrilled if he felt emotions that deeply anymore.
